The Hungry Horse

This morning we packed up our tent, rolled up our bedding, and hit the road to come back to Galveston.  We took the scenic route out of hill country, which added an extra hour to our trip, but it was well worth the time!  When we were ready to eat lunch, we stopped in a small town called Boerne.  Instead of grabbing a bite on the go at a fast food chain like we usually do, we decided to go into town square to eat a local joint.  Here's where we found: The Hungry Horse!  It was some finger-lickin' good country food.  Brent went all out with the chicken fried steak, fried okra, green beans, and macaroni and cheese.
Feeling a little guilty about all our munching this weekend, I opted for the salad.  It's time to start working on #5: Eat healthier.  It wasn't chicken fried steak, but it was delicious too.  Don't feel too bad for me - I tried a bite (or two) of everything on his plate. We'd definitely eat there again if we're ever in the neighborhood.  One day, when we're older and we have money and time on our side, I want to pass up on chain restaurants and only eat at local restaurants - even when we're on the road.
