Financial Peace University

Tonight we graduated from Financial Peace University!  We've been going to classes every Monday night for the past nine weeks to learn about Dave Ramsey's plan for conquering debt and building wealth - and wow!  We have learned so much!

Going into it we were a little nervous - Brent knew that Dave had some very strong opinions and I was afraid it would just overwhelm me to come face-to-face with the numbers.  (I'm not bad with numbers, but I hate numbers and avoid them at all causes!)


After two months or so of the class, we have paid off over $5000 in debt - Brent's fire school, our honeymoon and wedding expenses, and all of my student loans are history!  We are really, really proud of that!  And it hasn't meant never eating out or going out to do fun things - it's just taught us a better way to budget for those things and still pay off our remaining debt at the same time.  Using our debt snowball plan, we still have a ways to go - especially as long as we are living on my one income - but we have a lot more hope and a new found peace in our financial future.

So today we'll live like no one else, so that one day we'll live like no one else. :)
